There are five distinct Peulh ethnic groups (also known as Fulani) around Pendjari National Park, each speaking their own language and specializing in different skills. Upon arrival, visitors to the Peulh communities will be invited to drink fresh milk from an authentic ‘calabash’ in the shade of a shea butter-nut tree. You will have the opportunity to make your own Peulh cheese, try your hand at traditional weaving and watch or even participate in fast and rhythmic songs and dances. A trip to a Peulh community is always a fascinating experience!
